Job Description:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and supporting mechanical engineering projects at the Tronox Mine. This includes ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of mechanical systems and equipment, and providing technical guidance for construction and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage mechanical engineering projects on site.
- Monitor and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, and mining engineers.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and specifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum
10 years' experience
in construction or mining-related mechanical engineering projects. - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with project management, site supervision, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and plant equipment.
- Ability to work on site and liaise with contractors, staff, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
