is seeking an experienced
Senior Business Analyst (Independent Consultant)
to support high-impact change initiatives within the
Asset Management and Wealth Management
domains. This is a
contract engagement
designed for seasoned professionals who operate at a senior consulting level and are accustomed to delivering clarity and structure in complex Financial Services environments.

This role is not a permanent position and is ideally suited to independent consultants with deep industry expertise and a strong track record in requirements-led delivery.

Role Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst will be accountable for shaping, structuring, and translating business objectives into clear, actionable requirements that enable effective decision-making and successful delivery. The role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology partners, with a strong emphasis on quality, traceability, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Engage with senior business and executive stakeholders to elicit and clarify business needs
  • Produce high-quality requirements artefacts, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process models, and data flows
  • Facilitate structured workshops and working sessions to drive alignment and consensus
  • Act as a trusted interface between business, technology, and delivery teams
  • Ensure requirements integrity throughout solution design, build, testing, and implementation
  • Operate effectively within regulated financial-services environments, maintaining strong governance and delivery discipline

Minimum Requirements

  • Operates as an
    independent consultant
    (contract role; not permanent employment)
  • Minimum
    5 years' Business Analysis experience
    within the
    Financial Services industry
  • Demonstrable experience in
    Asset Management and/or Wealth Management
  • Solid understanding of investment products, investment operations, and distribution models
  • Proven experience supporting business and technology transformation initiatives
  • An
    appropriate tertiary qualification
    (Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field)
