A leading hotel group with locations in Mbombela, Emalahleni, Ermelo, Secunda, Standerton, Sandton, and Cape Town, is looking to employ a meticulous and experienced
Guest Relations Agent
to join our Cape Town team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Guest Relations Agent is a hospitality professional who manages the guest experience by handling check-ins, addressing inquiries, making recommendations, and resolving issues to ensure a seamless and personalized stay. They perform a variety of duties, including managing reservations, handling billing, and coordinating with other staff to meet guest needs and preferences. This position requires strong communication skills, particularly with international guests, and the ability to provide excellent guest services. This is a Live-In position, and the Guest Relations Agent is expected to Meet & Greet Guests on arrival, and departure, as well as host guests for breakfast during their stay.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guest services:
 Welcoming guests upon arrival, managing check-in and check-out, and providing personalized assistance throughout their stay.

Guest support:
 Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, and providing information and recommendations for local activities.

·       
Administrative tasks:
 Managing reservations, billing, and guest profiles using Property Management Software.

·       
Coordination:
 Liaising with other departments, such as housekeeping, to ensure all guest needs are met promptly.

·       
Problem-solving:
 Effectively resolving guest complaints and concerns, and preparing daily reports

PREREQUISITES:

·
       Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and coordinate a high-performing team

·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

·       Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus

·       Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure

·       Highly detail-oriented, with a passion for excellence in guest service

·       Tech-savvy, with experience using hotel management systems and digital feedback tools

·       Knowledge of Cape Town and the Wine Route is highly advantageous

·       Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

·       Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

·       Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt to a diverse clientele

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management essential

EXPERIENCE:

Min 3-5 years' experience in a guest relations or management role, preferably within a luxury hotel
