Location of position:   Mortimer Smelter

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Safety: Consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility  for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.

Performance and Delivery

• Identify high risk and safety critical areas.
• Identify areas of poor availability.
• Disseminate best practice in instrumentation aspects.
• Perform system trouble shooting and hardware problems resolution.
• Provide support on existing instrumentation.
• Conduct calibration and maintenance of all equipment within the control solution.
•  Adherence to the Anglo Platinum process/ system Change Procedure.
• Assist with commissioning for onsite projects.
• Adherence to Anglo Platinum Standards.

People & Teams:

• Actively engage as a team member in all team processes.

Compliance:

• Adherence to Anglo American internal and external compliance (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements

This role is at a GBF 7 level reporting to the Instrumentation Engineer

• Qualified as an Instrumentation Mechanician
• Foreman Certificate

Experience

• 5 years applicable experience
  • Supervisory experience

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced computer literacy
• Proficient in good decision-making skills
