About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Draughtsman to support our Drawing Office, with growth opportunities into a supervisory/managerial role. The role involves quoting, nesting, and drawing work for fabrication and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate quotes using SigmaNest.
  • Perform nesting, generate job cards, and compile quotations using SigmaNest.
  • Create and update technical and fabrication drawings.
  • Apply sound understanding of flat pattern developments.
  • Perform drawing revisions and corrections as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and administration of drawing records.
  • Liaise with clients regarding technical queries and design clarifications.
  • Assist in verifying and checking job details to ensure production accuracy.
  • Support communication and workflow between Drawing Office and Production.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar draughting/estimating role.
  • Matric (Essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Draughting (Essential)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and strong understanding of mechanical/fabrication drawings.
  • Full experience and understanding with SigmaNest (quoting, nesting & job card management).
  • Strong mathematical and technical reasoning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
