General Description / Job Purpose:

To support the Investments Director and Transactions Manager in taking renewable energy projects from preferred bidder status to financial close by leading project commercial negotiations, settling project agreements, developing and overseeing the strategy of achieving financial close, managing external relationships with the Transactions Manager, and functionally managing the Transactors. To support the responsibilities of the Transactions Manager by managing the Financial Close process with the Transactions team.

Responsibilities:

  • Playing a leading role in the implementation of specific transactions and bringing renewable energy project transactions to Financial Close with the support of the Investment Director and Transactions Manager, through the commercial negotiation, preparation, and review of all legal agreements with the support of Legal Affairs and CIF;
  • Leading the negotiation of deal terms and conditions with lenders, equity shareholders, and off-takers, with the support of the Investment Director and Transactions Manager;
  • Supporting the Investment Director and Transactions Manager in making commercial decisions to facilitate the Financial Close of projects, whilst maintaining Red Rocket strategic objectives;
  • Developing the implementation of the strategy to implement and coordinate Financial Close with the Investment Director and Transactions Manager and thereafter implementing the strategy;
  • Managing the implementation of various Financial Close workstreams with the Transactors;
  • Together with the Investment Director and Transactions Manager, overseeing and reviewing the financial models required for the projects from Bid Stage to Financial
  • Close with the support of CIF;
  • Leading due diligence process, coordinating the activities
  • with the Transactors;
  • Supporting on the structuring of project transactions in consultation with the Transactions Manager;
  • Liaising with other Red Rocket departments to meet timelines and deliverables to reach Financial Close;
  • Supporting the Investment Director and Transactions Manager in the credit approval process from early review to obtaining the relevant internal and external approvals;
  • Supporting the Investment Director in the acquisition of secondary market opportunities and divestment opportunities;
  • Negotiation of the PPA during tender evaluation stage, with support of the Investment Director and Transactions Manager.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or Business
  • MBA preferable

Minimum Previous Experience:

  • 6 years' experience within renewable project finance and/or banking and finance

Languages

  • English (Read, write & speak)
