Mechanical Engineer Port Elizabeth (Perseverance) Sector: Engineering Services An established engineering services company based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth is seeking a Mechanical Engineerto strengthen their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems across various industrial and commercial projects. Minimum Requirements: BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering.At least 2 years of practical experience in a mechanical engineering environment.Solid knowledge of electrical system integration and control systems (essential).Exposure to refrigeration system design or maintenance will be advantageous.Proven ability to manage projects including planning, execution, budgeting, and scheduling.Experience in pipe design, layout, stress analysis, and specification. Key Responsibilities: Develop, design, and refine mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.Produce accurate engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.Conduct on-site assessments, feasibility analyses, and equipment evaluations.Collaborate effectively with suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Oversee and track project progress, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeframes.Adhere to relevant standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification.Maintain detailed project reports and records for management and compliance purposes.
