Mechanical Engineer Port Elizabeth (Perseverance)

An established engineering services company based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth is seeking a Mechanical Engineerto strengthen their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems across various industrial and commercial projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical system integration and control systems (essential).
  • Exposure to refrigeration system design or maintenance will be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage projects including planning, execution, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Experience in pipe design, layout, stress analysis, and specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and refine mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
  • Produce accurate engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct on-site assessments, feasibility analyses, and equipment evaluations.
  • Collaborate effectively with suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Oversee and track project progress, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeframes.
  • Adhere to relevant standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
  • Maintain detailed project reports and records for management and compliance purposes.
