Floor Planner

**Purpose of the Job**:
Create and maintain supply-chain-optimised & product displays in stores, using the (Intactix/ CKB) space planning system to enable our category teams to deliver accurate, effective and profitable space plans that deliver the best revenues and assist with the execution of the category strategies.

**What you'll done before**:
Baseline:

- NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Retail/ Marketing or related)
- At least 5 years’ experience of Space Planning using Intactix JDA/ Blue Yonder tools
- Knowledge of Regional Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Advantageous:

- Specialist experience with JDA Intactix
- 3 years’ experience in a Leadership/ Specialist role in Supermarket/ Food Retail

**What you'll be doing**:

- Optimise the input parameters that drive floor plans as required including category flow principles, aisle width and height rules and returns/LM or SQM data and ensure they meet the customer, financial and product display needs
- Collaborate with teams to ensure that space plans are completed timeously and that they accurately reflect deliverables that support the category strategy and trading needs of the season
- Ensure liaison with teams to adopt best ways to execute special or non-standard tasks over key trading periods, major event changes or other such challenges
- Identify and liaise with stakeholders (IT or BP) on any issues and challenges regarding processes or systems to ensure efficient business operations
- Identify potential improvement areas and recommend new developments for the space planning and other related systems and processes
- Ensure collaboration with teams and promote capability through training and upskilling sessions to ensure outputs are sustainably embedded into operation requirements
- Liaise with floor & space planning teams on best ways to execute special or non-standard tasks on key trading periods, major event changes or any other challenges
- Adhere to systems and processes to ensure optimal merchandising techniques are used to create the best planograms for categories as required
- Operate the systems as per designated processes to ensure that the optimal merchandising techniques are used to create the best floor plans for categories as required
- Ensure availability and accuracy of data analysis to ensure support of informed decision making, with a view to influence categories, improve returns on space across the categories of space planning and ensure impact delivery of optimised floor plans
- Develop and implement distinctive mindset, behaviour and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instil high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.
