**About Us**

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a technically skilled and solutions-focused Field Technician to join our development team. This is a permanent position based at our ST Software office located in the Northern Suburbs, Bellville, Cape Town. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team in a flexible and friendly environment alongside team members who are passionate about technology.
- **Work Distribution**:_
- Access Control and CCTV Systems (50%)
- Automation (20%)
- PC/Networking (15%)
- Wiring (10%)
- Other Security Systems (5%)
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV and access control systems
- Conduct problem-solving and troubleshooting for both hardware and software
- Communicate with clients and organise site visits
- Perform regular maintenance checks and preventive maintenance
- Document technical issues, solutions, and system configurations
- Implement and maintain network infrastructure for security systems
- Take ownership of small projects
- Must be prepared to work extended hours when project deadlines require it

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- **Essential Requirements**_
- Experience in hardware and software fault finding
- Valid driver's license
- No criminal record
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- **Advantageous Experience / Qualifications**_
- Experience with manufacturers: Bosch, Impro, Sagem / Idemia, Gallagher, HID, Hikvision, Avigilon
- ICT Networking experience
- A+ certification
- Any post-matric qualification relating to Electrical (Light Current) and/or Vendor-specific training

**Remuneration & Benefits**

Negotiable depending on skill level and experience.
