We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated social media specialist. As a specialist you will take up the opportunity to create a social media management system to effectively implement digital campaigns that broaden the scope of AGSA’s engagement, drive and influence through innovative and engaging content.
Key performance indicators
Contribute to the implementation of the organisation’s communication and reputation management objectives.
Responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic social media and digital initiatives.
Creating and supervising high-profile channel accounts and integrating interactive media into the overall business strategy.
Develop social media content and oversee the work of the social media agency.
Integration of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)/Search Engine Marketing (SEM), monitoring and analysis of social media trends and their impact on the company brand and supervision of internal stakeholders.
Write, develop collateral and strategise to manage all digital content production, approval and scheduling (posting).
Pitch, develop, and execute campaigns for AGSA audit and educational cycles for all social media platforms.
Develop supporting content for additional platforms, including online communities, press releases, web articles and video blogs etc.
Act as the frontline online brand manager, liaising with all AGSA stakeholders to create real time content across all social media platforms.
Liaise with content influencers/thought-leaders with institutional knowledge and expertise on AGSA work and its environment.
Expand the AGSA digital platforms to enhance its reach.
Liaise and collaborate with AGSA stakeholders to coordinate campaigns and expand organisational reach and engagement.
Cultivate new communities and manage branded online communities on AGSA’s behalf using LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube and other digital platforms.
Ensure compliance to all corporate identity guidelines at all times (performance in visual audit).
Important information
Be prepared to travel and work overtime including on weekends.
Required to take pictures and videos and edit them for various platforms.
May be required to manage organisational and individual accounts.
Required
Three-year national diploma or equivalent in (journalism, marketing, social media management or communication) or equivalent qualification.
Five years of experience in corporate communication/writing, content creation and writing for the web/online platforms.
Good command of English and clean language.
Solid copywriting skills.
2-3 years of social media content development and management.
Experience in/knowledge of Content Management Software (CMS) and Database Management Systems would be extremely beneficial.
