QA Manager

Working as a **QA Manager** you will ensure a high standard of quality is delivered, ensuring best practices are introduced and processes are being followed whilst taking on line management responsibilities. You will be part of a dynamic, energetic and accommodating team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will be expected to undertake a wide range of activities and your responsibilities will include:

- Introduce and roll out best practices and ensure processes are being followed
- Offer technical leadership, coaching and mentorship
- Line management and day to day pastoral care of QA engineering team
- Managing performance and development of self and individuals to ensure career growth
- Understand product business requirements and review functional specifications to ensure we have the right approach when it comes to Testing
- Order, prioritise and manage complex workloads
- Present test results and potential issues to the Release Manager, Product Owners and Product Management as well as any other key stakeholders
- Ensure defects and risks are being reported on and tracked
- Responsible for overall software quality for new features and defect resolutions
- Proactively identify and implement processes to increase testing efficiency
- Report on standard quality metrics, showing quality levels and trends across each product
- Working closely with the Test Manager to identify areas of improvement within the overall test strategy and approach
- Utilize data-driven metrics to communicate results
- Promote Test automation and look to grow automated test coverage across multiple products
- Creation of Test Plans, Test Strategies & Test Closure reports
- Resource & capacity planning and reporting

**Key Requirements**:
Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience of being a QA Lead or Test Manager
- Expertise across the entire test lifecycle
- Experience of integration testing
- Experience / the ability to liaise with the client and undertake a ‘show and tell’ exercise
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
- Experience of working in Agile
- Delivery of testing strategies
- Good understanding of TDD and BDD
- Ownership of contract management and relationship with external suppliers
- Strong leadership skills, leading manual and automation testing
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to educate stakeholders along the journey, Credible, persuasive and able to speak in business terms
- Mobile Testing using tools such as Appium
- Sufficient experience with API Testing tools such as Soap UI, Postman etc. API Testing
- Test management tools such as QC, Test Rail, Xray, Zephyr etc.
- Experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps

- Must be comfortable in giving feedback at all levels with integrity as well as receiving it to build trust
