Assistant Director: Land and Transport Development

**Job Purpose**: The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to facilitate and coordinate the development of Land Transport Services. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.

**Key Performance Areas**:
**Competencies**: Knowledge of the following: Public administration; Project management; Monitoring and evaluation methods, tools and techniques; Applicable legislative and regulatory requirements in the development of integrated public transport networks; Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources; Written and verbal communication skills.
**Remuneration**:
R 382 245 per annum (Salary Level 9)
Note on remuneration: Employees' service benefits o robligation s(13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance ,pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
