Technician

**JOB TITLE**:Technician

**DEPARTMENT**:C&I - Mining Mpumalanga

**REPORTING TO**: Site Supervisor

**LOCATION**: Dorsfontein

**ADDITIONAL INFO**:

- Must be willing to travel regionally
- Valid Driver’s License - Code 8
- 2 years driving experience

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
- The prime objective for the Technician is to ensure that service and maintenance calls are attended and completed within set SLA’s.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Installation and maintenance of ATG. FOP, Accutrip and Gilbarco Pumps.
- Calls are resolved first time of attendance
- Ensure that quality of work done is exceptional at all times, maintain housekeeping.
- High level of professionalism is maintained
- Provide detailed information on the Job card
- Report on incident and near misses
- Ensure that safety compliance is always adhered to
- Ensure that safe driving is always practiced including but not limited to: Over speeding, usage of cellular

phones while driving, seat belts etc.
- Ensure that proper PPE is always worn
- Ensure all calls are completed on time and all calls are closed on time on the system
- Ensure relevant paperwork Job cards are submitted on time daily
- Ensure van stock is maintained and used stock is always booked out of the van stock and replenished
- Provide feedback to the office where required that you communicate effectively when delayed etc.
- Provide support to other team members as and when required
- Share technical knowledge with fellow team members by providing on the job training to junior and

assistant technicians
- Work independently, self-motivated and driven to succeed.

- 99% Feedback/communication to Site Manager

- Calls are resolved first time of attendance at 95%
- Ensure that quality of work done is exceptional at all time, housekeeping is maintained.
- High level of professionalism is maintained at 100%
- Arrive on site on time at all times at 100%
- 100% Accuracy of information on the Job card and all paperwork

**PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

**Education/**achievements**
- Matric with at least N4 in electrical, Mechanical or electronics engineering
- IT Background (A+ & N+)
- Trade Test (Electronics)
- PLC
- Computer Literacy (Advanced Excel skills,)
- Strong written and verbal skills in English

**Experience/**Knowledge**
- At least 1 year working experience as a Field technician.
- Safe use of hand tools.
- Safe working practices - HSSE
- Mine Health and Safety Act
