We are looking for a General Manager to lead operations at our Cape Town locations, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and business growth.

**Role Overview**As the General Manager, you will oversee the overall management, financial performance, guest experience, and strategic growth of CURIOCITY locations in Cape Town. You will be responsible for leading teams, optimising operations, and driving profitability while maintaining our unique, vibrant, and community-focused atmosphere.

**Key Responsibilities** **Leadership & Operations Management** Provide strong leadership to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all Cape Town locations. **Develop and implement policies, procedures, and service standards to enhance guest experiences.** Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment to boost staff engagement and performance. **Financial Management** Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial goals are met. **Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, implementing cost control measures where necessary.** Identify opportunities to increase revenue and optimise costs. **Guest Experience & Customer Service** Maintain high levels of cleanliness, comfort, and customer service across all locations. **Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.** Implement initiatives to improve guest satisfaction and drive repeat business. **Staff Recruitment & Management** Hire, train, and manage staff to ensure high service standards and operational efficiency. **Create staff schedules and ensure proper workforce planning.** Promote a culture of learning, development, and performance excellence. **Marketing & Sales** Develop and execute marketing strategies to boost bookings and increase occupancy rates. **Build relationships with OTAs, tourism boards, and local businesses to drive partnerships.** Oversee online reputation management, including guest reviews and social media presence. **Facilities & Maintenance** Ensure all properties are well-maintained and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards. **Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for maintenance, supplies, and service agreements.** Strategic Growth & Community Engagement **Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.** Engage with local communities and tourism organisations to strengthen brand presence. **Drive innovative hospitality experiences that align with CURIOCITY’s brand and ethos.**

**What We’re Looking For Experience: 5 - 8 years in a senior hospitality management role, preferably in hostels, boutique hotels, or lifestyle accommodations.** Education: Degree in Hotel Management or a related field. **Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).** Leadership Abilities: Strong team leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. **Guest-Focused Mindset: Passion for hospitality and enhancing guest experiences.** Business Acumen: Ability to drive revenue, control costs, and improve operational efficiency. **Marketing & Sales Knowledge: Familiarity with digital marketing, OTA platforms, and social media.**
