**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Matric is essential for this role.
- A tertiary qualification in a Chemistry or a Biochemistry or related is essential.
- Previous external sales experience having sold laboratory and related equipment into the industry is essential for the role.
- Must have good negotiation, administration, planning and organising, time management, problem solving skills.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Driving and identifying business opportunities for various product brands.
- Assisting External Sales Representatives to map territories in terms of growth potential and established value.
- Setting sales targets for each product brand.
- Formulating strategies and plans to achieve sales targets for each product brand.
- Aligning plans and strategies with sales plans of External Sales Representatives.
- Providing support to the Sales Team with regards to product knowledge driving key performance indicators.
- Accompany Sales Team when visiting Key Accounts.
- Arranging and conducting product presentations.
- Providing technical training to Sales Staff on various products.
- Promoting cross-selling at every opportunity in order to increase basket size.
- Ensuring that delivery and installation arrangements are completed quickly and accurately.
- Conducting research into new market sectors regarding customer needs, consumption patterns, current suppliers and brand utilised.
- Ensuring that business opportunities are identified across the range of company products.
- Liaising with the Marketing Manager and fellow Product Managers for support programmes and materials.
- Keeping abreast of technological and economic developments.
- Liaising with Suppliers regarding terms and conditions of agency agreement.
- Negotiating best prices and supply terms.
- Ensuring adequate holding of stock items.
