Customer Communications Specialist

Develop customer communication across the brand and be the knowledge experts on the customer communication content. Work with stakeholders to identify key information and plans for projects and initiatives and ensure work is completed to required standards.

Customer Communications
Effectively champion the overall business strategy and vision and implement a communications plan within established communication systems and procedures. Ensure that brand tone is reflective in all customer communication. Recommend the most appropriate and effective communication channels and ensure customer communication messages are consistent across all mediums. Assist in the customer communication response to crisis situations. Effective multilingual content creation.
Communication Content Preparation
Plan, edit, write and create content for a variety of communication mediums (mailers, agents scripting, SMS, and other fulfillment types).
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with internal stakeholders to identify communication opportunities that will advance the business areas’ objectives. Ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Manage the communication plan and execution to various business partners such operational stakeholders, dealers, brokers, BDO’s and other partners. Brief external stakeholders (eg. agencies) on content plan.
Information and Business Advice

Operational Compliance
Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Project Management
Ability to manage a number of communications projects simultaneously.
Continuous Improvement
Leverage all available information from our partners, the industry, and internally to ensure we are constantly reviewing our departmental processes, systems and protocols with a view to improve efficiencies. Analyzing current performance inhibitors and finding solutions to ensure business continuity.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Performance Management
Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

**Requirements**:
General Education
Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
A relevant Communications/Language degree (Essential)
General Experience
3 or more years communication specialist experience, with ability to advise others (Essential);
Experience in business writing within the financial services industry (Essential)
