Senior Solution Architect

Due to a massive influx of demand across multiple clients, Konvergent is looking to expand its permanent architecture capacity with at three to four Solution Architects. Rather than being a small cog in a very large wheel, joining Konvergent now will mean you will be part of key decisions that will help shape your personal growth and the company.

**Konvergent is a UK based company but is able to hire legally via our entity in South Africa. The work will be fully remote with the expectation that you can come to the UK for 1-2 weeks every 6 months.**

**Your Responsibilities Include**
- Reporting to the Chief Architect / Head of Consulting you will be working on a series of projects via Konvergent Consulting Practice or our Architecture-as-Service model, which could see you supporting multiple clients.
- The work will be varied and will include helping organisations move to the cloud; either “lift and shift” style migration or more fundamental transformational roles focused where the client is moving to SaaS solutions.
- Assisting business stakeholders in understanding the benefits of a properly architected solution and the approaches and methods involved.
- Working with a unique Architecture Visual Communications Studio to showcase architecture designs that are suitable for consumption with business stakeholders
- Working in conjunction with the company Directors, you will help with the bid process
- Participate in evolving our architecture methodology and delivery processes
- You will be working in complex and multifaceted architecture and transformation programmes; working disparate teams of consultants.
- You will always be looking for opportunities to expand our solution footprint and services opportunities.
- Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to Konvergents thought leadership, via blogs and articles.
**Experience and Personal Characteristics**
- Excellent all-round architecture knowledge across all disciplines that a modern architecture require - Applications, Data, Integration, Process and Migration etc
- Broad knowledge across multiple cloud providers - AWS, Azure, Google
- Experience of working with organisations end to end on SaaS-based transformation projects
- Worked in a variety of industries
- Be a concise communicator.
- Have worked on vendor selection, RFI/RFP assignments.
- Have been part of a TDA, with experience of vendor management
- Experience working in a boutique management consulting organisation is strongly preferred
- Experience of working to time and resource-constrained SoW
- Experience of delivering consulting projects under an Agile architecture methodology
- Must have the ability to forge relationships with Heads of Architecture and C-Suite executives.
- You will be very pragmatic. Konvergent does not see the benefit of arguing over the definition of words We are often given very short time frames to deliver, so the perfect person will understand that good enough, is perfect
- We are looking for someone who can develop a recognised profile in the external market; speak at requisite events and leverage senior advisory relationships.
