We are seeking a reliable and hardworking **Pot Wash and Kitchen Hand** to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, supporting kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. As a key member of the kitchen team, you’ll be responsible for cleaning dishes, kitchen utensils, and supporting the overall operation of the kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Pot Washing & Dishwashing**:

- Wash, sanitize, and store all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, dishes, and glassware.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station, ensuring the kitchen remains efficient throughout the shift.
- Assist in ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order for use.
- **General Kitchen Support**:

- Provide assistance with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, peeling, and portioning as needed.
- Help with stocking kitchen supplies, ensuring items are readily available for the chefs.
- Assist kitchen staff with any additional tasks to keep the workflow running smoothly.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Follow all hygiene and food safety guidelines to ensure cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Maintain organization of the kitchen, including storage and waste areas.
- Regularly assist in the deep cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment.
- **Waste Management**:

- Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables correctly, ensuring bins are emptied and kept clean.
- Maintain cleanliness in the waste disposal area.

**Shifts**:

- 3 double shifts (8+ hours per shift) per week.
- 1 single shift per week.

**Flexibility required** - shifts may include weekends and public holidays based on business needs.

**Compensation**:

- **Fixed monthly salary** plus tips.
- **Public holidays paid on top** of regular compensation.

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: R6 735,00 - R11 735,00 per month
