Cape Town, South Africa Moving Heads Personnel Full time

Responsible for continuous improvement of existing methods and models and to **embed IFRS17 **reporting into BAU processes.
- Manage a small team of actuarial students and provide coaching and mentoring to the team.
- Performing regular quarterly valuations for financial reporting and submissions to the regulator.
- Presenting valuation results to management and effectively explaining key drivers of results (for all relevant metrics).
- Extract insights and understand the drivers of key financial metrics for business consideration.
- Critically reviewing current processes and actuarial models with a view of continuous improvement.
- Assist with **IFRS 17 implementation** and transition to BAU.
- Support the delivery of relevant project objectives as these arise.
- Qualified or nearly actuary, extensive actuarial experience
- **Life insurance valuations** experience.

The following is advantageous:

- Management experience.
- **IFRS **and Regulatory Solvency valuations knowledge.
- Prophet, DCS, and VBA programming experience.
- Advanced MS Excel and SQL skills
