**JOB OVERVIEW**

As a brand strategist you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our agency and our client’s brands.

**Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)**:

- Understand Above The Line, Below The Line and digital channels to enable end-to-end solutions for clients.
- Lead the portfolio of accounts and build solid, long lasting relationships.
- Proactively seek opportunities to contribute to the client’s business and marketing strategy.
- Researching current market trends and predicting future trends that might affect the success of product and service's.
- Analyzing market data, customer feedback and survey responses to develop marketing plans.
- Synthesize insights and translate them into frameworks for brand strategy and design thinking.
- Researching effective brand names for new products or services.
- Rebranding existing products or services.
- Performing target audience research and creating buyer personas.
- Brand positioning.
- Doing audits to assess a brand's status in the market and formulate effective ways to strengthen it.
- Creating brand architecture.
- Formulate compelling brand stories that tell customers about a product or service and try to form an emotional connection with them.
- Overseeing the production of all brand creative—advertisements, presentations, catalogues, branding elements, social media campaigns, blogs, websites—and ensuring they have a consistent tone and message.
- Writing consistent content for marketing materials.
- Writing briefs that inspire the creative team.
- Able to bring teams together by creating an environment of possibility by inspiring others.
- Contribute towards the agency’s development regarding new services, internal processes or other initiatives.
- Doing research to identify competitors and their products' strengths and weaknesses.
- Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing and sales performance metrics to forecast trends
- Report on the performance of all campaigns.

**Qualifications / Experience / Skills**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Advertising / Marketing / Brand Building
- 2+ years’ experience as a strategist
- Proficient in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
- Integrated experience in both TTL & Digital
- Understand ATL and paid digital media (fully versed and able to present a strategy and flow-plan for digital media)
- Excellent understanding of Advertising as a selling tool
- A good commend of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Excellent multi-tasking skills (able to work on more than one brief at any given time)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Social media and tech savvy (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter)
