**JOB PURPOSE**
Support the company operations by being responsible for the warehouse and warehouse yard using good organisational skills to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the warehouse and its staff.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Ensure accurate receiving and capturing of goods received on Pastel by issuing Goods Received Vouchers (GRV’s).
Accurate stock recording and controls of supplies, parts and equipment in the warehouse and yard.
Ensure the warehouse operations include organizing the flow of company goods from receiving, storing, and stock control.
Ensure the streamlining the controls of goods, improving storage and handling procedures, as well as safety standards and the responsible management of the warehouse environment.
By means of proper planning, including storage layout plans and packing plans, ensure efficient and effective controls of goods moving into and out of the warehouse and yard.
Accurate inventory (stock) controls recording the storage area as well as data control of all inventory.
Perform periodic inventory checks to ensure the accuracy of database information and minimize the risk of inventory losses or shrinkage.
Supervision of the packing of goods received in logistics containers from suppliers in a responsible and efficient manner and ensuring accurate receipting.
Responsible for using the ERP system to manage receiving, and storage as well as Microsoft software to ensure proper controls and records. Responsible for the warehouse staff and its vehicles and moving equipment.
Ensure all Argo, and departments supplies are **invoiced out on Pastel.**
Responsible for the HSEQ of the warehouse, its staff and its operations as per best practice, enforcing applicable regulations and company policies.
Conducting and actively participating in safety induction sessions as well as tool box talks and keeping records of these safety activities.
Report any unsafe activities, practices or equipment to the Warehouse Manager and ensure compliance by warehouse staff using training and the company disciplinary codes.
Responsible for ensuring safety inspection records.
Ensure accurate records of stock are maintained in the ERP system, ie; Stock clean-up, correct descriptions and UOM.
Assist with quarterly and yearly vessel stock managements and suggest improvements.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12
**-Degree/Diploma in supply chain management/ warehouse operations required.**
- 5+ years of experience in the warehousing and logistics field required.
- Certificates in Fire Fighting supervision, First Aid, Rigging and Occupational Health and safety preferred.
**-Experience with Pastel Evolution software and control systems or similar ERP systems required.**
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: R1 000,00 - R1 001,00 per month
