Glass Claims Administrator

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
Including, but not limited to:
- Handling of Glass Claims
- Registration of Glass Claims
- Confirmation of Cover
- Cost of claims
Check if cost is reasonable within the normal range, before authorising claim. Try and keep cost as low as possible. Industry standard for original, Shatterproof or Generic Glass per claim.
Get extra quotes and negotiate with vendors, should the above-mentioned costs be too high, consult with Claims Manager before authorizing claim.
- Send out authorisation letters - Indemnify glass claims SLA: 2 Days
- Follow up daily until windscreen/s are replaced - Glass claim completion SLA 2 weeks, maximum 30 days
- Follow up on payments / vendor documentation, to ensure SLA’s are met
- Confirm with client / vendor that replacement has been completed
- Always keep system notes updated by making clear, detailed and professional notes
Receiving Glass Claim Bordereaux’s and Invoices from Digicall:
- Ensuring invoices are uploaded to the document warehouse of the correct claim
- Ensuring the amounts Invoiced and amounts captured on system are the same and correct
- Ensure costs are captured correctly and timeously for payment of glass claims
Communicate with clients, the responsible party, their insurers, solicitors and various other parties involved in the process, by telephone and/or by written communication.
Ensure effective and timely claims management and settlement within SLA:
- Claim indemnified within 2 Days
- Claim finalized in 2 weeks, maximum 30 days
Log complaints on system for any problems with service providers or brokers. This ensures that poor service can be reported and resolved.
Adequate reserving of claims.
Assist with administrative functions and undertake special projects as and when requested.
Handling of Compliments and Complaints according to the Compliments and Complaints Business Processes.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification issued by SAQA
- Clear Credit and Criminal Record
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in the Short-Term Insurance Industry
- Minimum 3 years administrative working experience
- Relevant FAIS Credits and RE5
- Computer Literacy - MS Office: Work, Excel, Outlook

- Ability to negotiate with insurers/clients in respect of contentious claims

- Ability to work independently
