JOB OVERVIEW **Trainee Buyer | PET HEAVEN** **Your responsibilities will include**: - Deliver against key performance indicators (sales, margin, listings, availability, stock turn etc.) - Drive growth across categories through brand and product analysis - Source and prioritize new brands and suppliers according to growth plan aligned to market trends and consumer demand - Manage and develop supplier relationships, - negotiate best prices - Improve trading terms - Manage suppliers performance focused on adherence to SLAs (on time deliveries, product quality, compliance to negotiated terms etc.) - Source great deals and supplier campaigns aligned to promo calendar - Support site merchandising by working alongside the Digital Merchandiser - Support the customer service team on product queries and resolving any customer complaints - Manage stock aging through clearance, returns and range discontinuations **Attributes required**: - Must love Pets - Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude; self-motivated - Strong analytical and critical thinking, ability to use data to inform decisions, identify the root cause and resolve problem - Ability to manage priorities according to clear prioritization and structured planning - Ability to build lasting supplier relationships and manage according to SLAs - Comfortable with change and excellent team player - Passionate about the industry and the potential of e-commerce - Understanding of the key business drivers within online retail - Entrepreneurial/commercial mindset **Qualifications and experience**: - Bachelor’s degree (Business Science or Commerce degree preferable) - 1+ years related retail / commerce / e-commerce experience - Strong commercial acumen - Proven track record of negotiation skills and strong relationship management ABOUT US Silvertree Brands builds disruptive purpose-driven consumer and digital brands.
