**Drop Raise Operator**

**Purpose**:
Responsible for overseeing all mining operations, drilling & blasting and ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications / Requirements:
? Must have at least 5 Years’ experience as a Drop raise Operator
? Must have a competent certificate
? Be in possession of a valid Certificate as a Drop Raise Operator
? Must be able to operate S36 Drilling Machine

Skills and Experience:
? Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Competent A personnel in mining
Added Requirements:
? Knowledge of applicable laws, standards and specifications.
? Medical fitness test will be required.

**Duties**:
? Adhere to health and safety and environmental practices according to standards and procedures.
? Responsible for his/her own safety as well as for others according to the Mine’s Health and Safety Act.
? Inspect the Drop Raise machine against a checklist and report items or issues that require attention
? Transport/remove Drop Raise machine, ore and material safely and cost effectively in his/her area of responsibility.
? Repair minor breakdowns and doing pre and post basic maintenance on his/her equipment.
? Assist team members with tasks such as supporting, charging up, early morning examination and equipping.
