**Primary Purpose**

The role is responsible for setting strategies and workable plans to realise business and or organisational goals. The incumbent will be responsible for Payment and Settlement and Banking Operations team whilst ensuring the bank is compliant with the relevant payment regulations. As the Head of Banking Operations and Payments and Settlements, the role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payment processing, settlements, and all related operational activities within Bidvest Bank. This role requires a strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and industry best practices. Furthermore, the role will be required to lead a team of professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate payment processing, timely settlements, banking operations whilst driving compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Experience
- 12 years' minimum corporate experience

**Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Build payment strategies that will increase Bank's revenue as well attract new revenue streams.
- Identify and implement revenue and cost saving opportunities.

CUSTOMER CENTRICITY
- Drive customer centricity strategy formulation and execution

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Ensure Operational efficiencies, compliance and risk deliverables are embedded.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
- Provide management responsibility.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Drive stakeholder engagement with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
