One of our clients in the banking industry are looking for a Business Architect to join their team in Sandton.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Promote the architecture at all relevant levels to obtain buy-in or required approvals
- Develop, maintain and enhance Business Architecture within the relevant business area and ensure effective implementation thereof
- Design and implement new or cutting-edge systems, solutions and processes and initiate innovations and changes aligned to business strategy based on area of accountability
- Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
- Develop strategy and ensure alignment to business strategy and platform thinking
- Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes
- Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Creates solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Qualification - Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences/engineering/IT for new to bank hires or relevant degree in related field
- Preferred Qualification - Relevant Honours Degree in related field
- Experience - 3 to 5 years relevant business experience, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at specialist level
- Additional Knowledge - Understanding of enterprise architecture
- Payment’s experience
- Domain architecture expert
- Business strategy and execution
- Business and technology acumen
- Business modelling
- Completion of relevant courses (e.g TOGAF, Zachman, PMBOK, Zachman)
- Understanding of business process modelling
- Understanding of how the data architecture needs to support the business model
