**Now Hiring: Senior Logistics Analyst (Site Based)**

**Key Role Responsibilities and Duties**
- The senior logistics controller is responsible for planning, executing and overseeing all (inbound andprimarily outbound) logistics movement within the company across our various locations (today: CPT,JHB).
- You will be working closely with sales, operations, procurement, finance and customer service to both design as well as implement and oversee the structural improvements you are expected to bring to our logistics.
- This is, on one hand, a pragmatic role where the Logistics Analyst will need to ‘get their hands dirty’
- working with the team, spending time in the warehouses and in the field to trouble-shoot, align and ensure quality standards and procedures are implemented and followed.
- On the other hand, the role is strategic and analytical where the logistics analyst is charged with reviewing, optimising and at times even radically redesigning (parts of) our order-to-delivery model.
- The person will be primarily responsible for last mile delivery
- This job, as somewhat typical for a high growth startup environment, may require you to shift seamlessly from e.g. conducting an in-depth payload analysis to responding to a hijacking happening in the field. If you are looking for a corporate, predictable 9-5 job this position is not for you
- Selecting the right 3PL partners and negotiating contracts and rates as well as working with these partners on last mile delivery.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate end-to-end dispatch to full delivery process
- Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Supervising and organising logistics planning, dispatch, route optimisation, and processing of shipments.
- Manage the monthly forecasting
- Responding to any issues or complaints.
- Researching and designing ideal shipping techniques, distribution networks including potential satellite/ hub and spoke models, routing, and carriers.
- Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Evaluating budgets and expenditures.
- Updating and analyzing metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Supervise, coach and train logistics planners, dispatch team, drivers and drivers assistants
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Design, build and generate accurate reports regarding the relevant KPI’s
- Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, laws, and policies

- Rand margin/ kg shipped
- Reduction of transport cost as a % of sales
- OTIF %
- Reduction of returns
- Delivery accuracy, complaints
- % usage of booked transport capacity
- % incident rate
- last mile delivery planning and analysis

**Skills and requirements needed to fulfill the role**:

- Ideally, degree in supply chain management and/or logistics in a retail or FMCG environment
- At least 6 years+ proven working experience in Logistics / distribution as a logistics manager, controller or comparable role
- Must have worked in a 3PL and have vast knwoledge of routes in both JHB and CPT
- Strong negotiation skills
- Advance Excel
- Be able to work under pressure and multitask
- Outstanding communicator, works well with everyone from executive level to driver
- Strong financial sense, able to conduct a range of operational and financial analyses
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
- Proficient in standard logistics software
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, stress-proof and can handle multiple projects
