**Role Purpose**
- The Network Security Intern will shadow and assist senior engineers in safeguarding the organization's computer systems and networks

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Bachelors degree in IT or related.
- CompTIA A+, N+,
- CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 Certified in CyberSecurity
- Cisco CCNA

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- **
Shadow senior engineers**: Shadow senior security engineers to learn and grow within the great network security space.
- **
Implementation of Security Measures**: Assisting in the implementation of security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
- **
Monitoring and Analysis**: Monitoring system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. Assisting in the analysis of software systems for vulnerabilities and risks.
- **
Incident Response**: Helping to anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters, and reducing their likelihood. Assisting in incident response activities.
- **
Security Tools**: Assisting in the implementation of firewalls and data encryption programs to protect sensitive information.
- **
Security Standards**: Participating in the development of security standards and best practices for the organization.
- **
Education and Reporting**: Helping to educate fellow employees about computer security. Assisting in the preparation of reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
