Coordinator: Citizenship Engagement

Duties/Pligte
**1) Portfolio strategy**
- With the guidance of the CSLEEC Director and Deputy Director, implementing a two-year strategy to increase student engagement in citizenship programming;
- Offering strategic input and demonstrating insight in contributing factors impacting student engagement related to citizenship;
- Conceptualising, adapting and implementing relevant ad hoc programming based on emerging needs related to current national trends.
**2) Project Management:Coordinating content development sessions within DSAf**
- Meeting with the DSAf Leadership Forum to identify key projects within DSAf for the year;
- Identifying internal collaboration (DSAf) and within the broader SU and other higher education partners on identified key projects;
- Coordinating content development sessions for the identified key projects with the relevant DSAf teams and the CSLEEC teams (Co-Curriculum, FVZSI, Online Programming and Student Governance);
- Drawing up project plans to ensure timeous delivery of projects.

**4) SUNOnline Leaner Management System**
Loading content and resources onto the SUNOnline platform as required and monitoring online engagement;
- Monitoring assessment processes and timelines in accordance with the Short Courses Division;
- Facilitating live online sessions.
**5) Social media engagement**
- Coordinating and implementing a social media engagement strategy as agreed upon by the line manager and in consultation with the DSAf Leadership Forum with regards to specific projects;
- Working in collaboration with the DSAf Marketing Coordinator to ensure SU brand alignment and to utilise current DSAf social media channels and SU channels such as MFM, SU podcast series (SU talks for marketing and awareness campaigns related to Citizenship).

**6) Academic Transcript Recognition**
- With the support of the CSLEEC Administrator, responsible for preparing all documentation for recognition processes.

**7) Research and Data Analysis**
- With the support of the CSLEEC: Administrator and Researcher, conducting ongoing research on specific themes to be explored as part of the programme offering;
- Designing and managing feedback surveys and coordinating focus groups to conceptualise new programme offerings, and providing feedback on current programme offerings;
- Conducting data analysis to identify key trends which will inform programme design.
**8) Report Writing**
- Offering reports related to specific projects to the relevant DSAf Director and DSAf Leadership Forum as required.

**9) Student Assistant supervision**
- Supervising student assistants to execute programme deliverables.

**10) Finance**
- In consultation with the line manager, creating an annual budget, and in consultation with CSLEEC's Finance Officer, managing expenses according to an allocated budget.

**2) Projekbestuur: Koördineer inhoudontwikkelingsessies binne Studentesake**
- Ontmoet met die STS-leierskapsforum om sleutelprojekte binne Studentesake vir die jaar te identifiseer;
- Identifiseer interne samewerking (STS) en binne die breër US en ander hoëronderwysvennote betreffende geïdentifiseerde sleutelprojekte;
- Koördineer inhoudsontwikkelingsessies vir die geïdentifiseerde sleutelprojekte met die toepaslike STS-omgewings en die SSLEOB-eenhede (Ko-kurrikulumkantoor, FVZSI, Aanlynprogrammering en Studenteregering);
- Stel projekplanne op om tydige lewering van projekte te verseker.
**3) Skakel met vakkundiges**
- Koördineer inligtingsessies met vakkundiges om programkonsepte (leerdoelwitte, -uitkomste en -bevoegdhede) en die ontwikkeling van programinhoud te bespreek;
- Finaliseer assesserings (waar nodig) met vakkundiges om leeruitkomste te bevestig.
**4) SUNOnline Leerderbestuurstelsel**
- Koördineer die aanlyninhoudsontwikkeling vir spesifieke burgerskapprogramme in samewerking met vakkundiges, die leierskapsforum, breër Studentesake en die SSLEOB-eenhede (Ko-kurrikulumkantoor, FVZSI, Aanlynprogrammering en Studenteregering);
- Laai inhoud en hulpbronne op die SUNOnline-platform soos vereis en monitor aanlynbetrokkenheid;
- Monitor assesseringsprosesse en tydlyne in ooreenstemming met die Kortkursusafdeling;
- Fasiliteer regstreekse aanlynsessies.
**5) Sosiale media betrokkenheid**
- Koördineer en implementeer 'n sosiale media-betrokkenheidstrategie soos ooreengekom deur die lynbestuurder en in oorleg met die STS-leierskapforum met betrekking tot spesifieke projekte;
- Samewerking met die STS-bemarkingskoördineerder om US-handelsmerkbelyning te verse
