Our client, a prominent player in the _lifestyle branding industry_ seeks to appoint a Chief Operations Officer to join their Senior Management Team. This is a key role in _developing and implementing_ scalable operating systems and processes to cater for rapid growth. The successful incumbent will be required to provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the SIU has proper standard operational procedures, controls, administrative and reporting processes to effectively grow the organization, increase operating efficiency and maintain financial strength. This position requires a strategic leader with exceptional leadership skills.
- **Requirements**_
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management / Logistics / Business Management
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with solid experience at a Senior Managerial level in an operations role.
- Proven track record of operating at continued high level of performance in a COO/Operations Director position.
- Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of Supply Chain end to end, with experience across the board.
- Experience in the Retail industry will be preferable
- Experience in managing significant 3PL transitions successfully (Brand & Warehouse)
- Experience in onboarding/transitioning new brands and robust discussions on successful transition.
- Experience in new/changing systems implementation (Warehouse, ERP (Ops), Other)
- Exceptional project management skills (scoping & initiation, planning, executing, monitoring & control)
- Experience in Omni advantageous
- Knowledge and understanding of best-in-class Customer Service Management, processes, and systems.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities
- Continuous improvement skills are required.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- A strong strategic and business mindset
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- **Key Performance Areas**:_

The role will involve but will not be limited to:

- Collaborating with the CEO, CFO and MD of Brands in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and project developments.
- Translating strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
- Overseeing company operations and improve operating procedures for optimal efficiency with a drive to automation.
- Assess and enhance the efficiency of internal and external operational processes, including the documentation thereof and blue printing departmental tasks.
- Ensure CS experience strategy is translated into actionable and measurable activities/steps and evaluated for continuous improvement.
- Ensure employee productivity whilst supporting an inclusive culture that ensures the team members are supported.
- Supporting capital investments and expenses to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability.
- Building and maintaining trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders. And work in synergy with the Senior Management team to achieve business goals.
- Establish and maintain relevant company policies.
- Evaluate company performance and recommend strategies to improve results.
- Collaborating with management and other stakeholders to raise capital and carry out other business-expanding strategies.
- Direct and oversee assigned projects.
- Implement necessary IT systems to improve efficiencies and to automate tasks, ensure effective system selection, vendor management and change management throughout the organisation.
- Managing the relationships with chosen partners including contract negotiations and in contract delivery of service level agreements.
- Drive local sourcing strategy. Contract management and relationship with factories, capacities etc.
- Regular reporting to Brands with clarity on tracking and agreed KPI reporting together with related actions required.
- Analyse the costs and risks of business strategies and advise management and suggest actions.
- Stay well-informed of emerging trends that can improve the company’s performance.

**Salary**: R1,000.00 - R1,500.00 per month
