Bookkeeper/administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bookkeeper and Administrator with a strong background in micro finance to join our team. If you are passionate about finance, have excellent organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic work environment, we would love to hear from you.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support effective financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash.
- Liaise with clients and provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to loan repayments and terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and facilitate effective communication.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, such as managing correspondence, organizing meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper and Administrator, preferably with a focus on micro loans.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prior experience in a micro finance institution is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in finance or accounting is a plus.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
