**Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Officer**

We're seeking an experienced OHS Officer with a background in the petrochemical industry to join our team.

This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing project safety files, and fostering a strong on-site safety culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including Construction Regulation 8.5 appointment obligations.
- **Project Safety Management**: Maintain project safety files, manage PPE, and promote on-site safety practices.
- **Risk Management**: Draft, submit, and manage project RAMS, focusing on risk assessment and fall arrest systems.
- **Industry Experience**: Utilize petrochemical industry experience to implement best practices and adhere to oil majors' HSE and PTW systems.
- **Specialized Qualifications**: Possess certifications in NABOSH, SAOISH, and firefighting, with expertise in handling dangerous goods _(Advantageous)._
- **Years of Experience**: Demonstrate at least 5 years of relevant experience in a health and safety role.
- **Assist Construction Manager**:Support the Construction Manager with site administrative duties as needed.

**Requirements**:
**- SAMTRAC or SHEMTRAC Certification**

**- Valid SACPCMP Registration**

**- Construction Regulation 8.5 Appointment Experience**

**- Project Management Skills**

**- Risk Assessment and Management Expertise**

**- Petrochemical Industry Experience**

**- HSE and PTW Systems Familiarity**

**- Working at Heights Certification **_(Advantageous but not essential) _

**- HIRA Proficiency**_(Advantageous but not essential)_

**- Fall Arrest System Experience **_(Advantageous but not essential)_
