Indigo’s colour cosmetics portfolio is strengthened via the Coty distributor agreement that includes world-renowned brands such as Rimmel.

An exciting opportunity exists for an **OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE **at **Indigo Brands** based in Epping, Cape Town. As the successful incumbent you will be accountable for the end to end Strategic and Operational Management of the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics and associated functions, with the aim of delivering high quality, cost-optimised products and an efficient end-to-end supply chain and logistics capability. The incumbent will also be responsible for leading the R&D and Packaging Teams to support the Marketing product plans and initiatives.

**Direct responsibilities include the following**:

- End-to-end manufacturing, operations and supply chain logistics strategy development and management
- Site Management of the entire site (2 factories, warehouse, admin building and satellite buildings)
- Strategic procurement and management including strategic sourcing
- Development of infrastructure and fixed asset capital spend plans
- Risk and Quality management in accordance with legislative and other body requirements
- Stakeholder management with Industry bodies
- Leading the packaging and product development teams to support the marketing brand and new product strategy

- ** Manufacturing, Conversion And Strategic Sourcing**
- Manages the conversion of raw material stock into the finished product through Production to defined quality standards
- Activation of NPD capability trials and commercialisation
- Lead the implementation of manufacturing best practices.
- Monitor the implementation of planned maintenance programmes for equipment and infrastructure
- Planning, budgeting and implementation of CAPEX projects to cater for new or enhanced production requirements
- Identify, secure and manage the appropriate resources to align Operations with Indigo strategic requirements

- Develop the strategy and priorities for strategic sourcing in support of the Marketing, brand and the portfolio strategy

- Develop long term strategic sourcing partnerships with selected partners
- Maximise the production and manufacturing output by aligning internal objectives with external capabilities in product development and component development
- ** Supply Chain, Engineering, Site Management, Warehousing and Logistics Management**
- Efficiently running the factories and warehousing and distribution and maintaining the sites
- Leading the safety, health and environmental agenda for the site.
- Ensuring legal compliance to the OHS Act and AVI Safety Policies.
- Being responsible for ensuring a safe workplace by driving safe work practices
- Supply chain management of raw, sub-contracted, and packaging materials to enable the plant conversion priorities. Supply chain management of 3rd party manufacturers.
- MRP Resource planning window of 12 months for operational requirements
- Review of supply chain best practice implementation
- Responsible for the reverse logistics activities i.e. the return of stock from the customer
- Control of inventory management processes - annual counts, cycle counts, perpetual counts, auditing.
- Ensuring the effective management of Indigo brands site through appropriate asset care strategies for all assets, incorporating good health and safety practices, sound facilities standards, introduction of new technologies through optimised capital investment strategies and optimized plant availability
