Foreman Metal Production

1.1.1 Responsible for the Metal coffin / equipment production or repairs.

1.1.2 Schedule production based on inventory and order levels on a daily basis and reconcile weekly.

1.1.3 See to it that resources (labour, machinery, equipment, materials) are optimally planned for and utilised.

1.1.4 Establish quality standards in conjunction with the quality department and check that standards are adhered to in production.

1.1.5 All raw material and work in progress is to be stored appropriately and accounted for during stock takes.

1.1.6 Manage the production of prototypes of metal products in collaboration with Specialist: Technical and Product Development / Manager operations

1.1.7 Co-ordinate all repairs of equipment and provide schedules for completion.

1.1.8 Responsible for overseeing the total workforce in manufacturing unit.

1.1.9 See to it that discipline is maintained, and staff work according to Policies and Procedures.

1.10 Take care that timekeeping by staff is monitored and appropriate action is taken where personnel are delinquent.

1.11 Plan training of new incumbents and existing workforce to ensure proficiency.

1.12 Compile production statistics and report to the Operations Manager on a daily and weekly basis.

1.13 Provide quotations for ad-hoc repairs and requests.

1.14 Order raw material from stores to meet production needs as well as external suppliers for ad-hoc requests.

1.15 Account for raw material that was received and consumed in the monthly stock count process.

1.16 Serves on Safety Committee as a representative of management.

1.17 Ensure that all staff are issued and use the correct and appropriate PPE.

1.18 Follow all the company SHE policies and procedures.

- Qualified Artisan
- 5 Years in Manufacturing environment.
- Administration experience.
- 2 years leading a team.
- Computer Literacy critical.
- Valid code 08 Licence
