**ROLE**:Quality and Food Safety Manager
**LOCATION**:East London, Eastern Cape
**REPORTING TO**: Regional Executive
**SALARY**:Market related basic of ~ R35 000.00 plus benefits

**Our client, a market leader in the FMCG/Manufacturing sector, requires a Quality and Food**
**Safety Manager to join their team, based at their factory in East London. The successful person will be responsible for managing the Quality Team, as well as the Quality Systems for the region.**

JOB PURPOSE

To assume responsibility for ensuring Quality and Food Safety standards are upheld and customer satisfaction is guaranteed through efficient management of the Quality Team, with a key focus on Operational Quality, Food Safety Systems, and People Management. The ideal person will be Energetic, Driven, Self-Managed and an excellent communicator.

Production Quality Management experience is essential, as well as experience implementing and maintaining a BRC or ISO 22000 Food Safety System in a factory or production plant.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement, review, ensure compliance to and maintenance of all Quality systems and procedures in the region
- Develop and execute an internal Quality audit program
- Actively implement continuous improvement projects
- Manage the Quality team
- Ensure Quality assurance with regards to raw materials and final products
- Reduce customer complaints
- Partner with Sales Managers to provide Customers with outstanding service
- Assemble, analyse and report Quality statistics and trends and make recommendations
- Manage the MRM, DRM process
- Develop and carry out Quality training and education programs
- Establish and manage Quality budget

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a National Diploma or Degree in Quality, or a related qualification
- A min of five years Quality Management experience
- FSSC 22000/BRC experience (implementation and management) essential
- Previous FMCG manufacturing or packaging experience is essential
- Advanced excel
