The Mechanical Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. T

You will collaborate with design engineers and machine shop personnel to ensure manufacturability and strategic workflow designs are in order.

Automation industry is a mixture of electrical and mechanical, experience in these fields will be an advantage.

**Requirements**:

- Draughting Diploma / Certificate in SolidWorks
- Sheetmetal / Laser cutting experience.
- Mechanical design engineering experience (2 Years +) advantageous
- 3D CAD experience Solidworks (2 Years +)
- 2+ Years of experience in Automation industry advantageous

**Responsibilities**:

- Create accurate, readable technical drawings as per designs.
- Compile drawing project plan, naming conventions and number generation.
- Generate 3D parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies.
- Generate detail drawings (project planning; parts; sub-assemblies; assemblies; revisions and redesigns)
- Proficient knowledge of working with sheet metal and weldment.
- Ensure conversions of different file formats to complete drawings
- Implement revisions and redesigns on all relevant drawings.
- Create, import, and ensure that correct templates are used at all times (Internal/External)
- Ensure that a fast and accurate bill of materials is generated.
- Ensure accurate dimensioning and detailing of drawings.
- Attend site visits as and when required for:

- Site establishment for 3D modelling
- To verify discrepancies on existing drawings
- Red lining issue for construction for as build's
- Assist internal departments as and when required (marketing; production; manufacturing; R&D)

- Good Written and Verbal Communication (English)
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Proficient in problem solving.
