**Job Summary**: Join a team committed to genuine ESG practices beyond “greenwashing”.
Since it’s inception this private housing fund has delivered over 6,000 homes across 28 buildings and 3 South African cities. With a real focus on creating safe, sustainable and affordable homes in precincts which are close to amenities and serve the communities needs, they have established an investment product which truly has an impact. With significant growth expected in the short term, they are in search of an ESG specialist who can both maintain their current frameworks and investigate new ways in which to work with the operational team to increase all the strength and execution of all ESG pillars.
This executive role reports directly to the CEO and interfaces regularly with all business units, external stakeholders and funders. It would therefore suit an emotionally intelligent individual who is able to understand the unique positions of each team or individual in order to advise and influence to produce the most sustainable outcome. Furthermore, ones financial acumen will need to be solid, as this role will be expected to monitor, analyse and report on key areas via significant available data, which must speak to both the values of the company and profitability. Your ability to identify and mitigate risks by nurturing management awareness and integrating risk management into operational processes is also critical, and will see you developing frameworks which support a variety of business needs.
