**Role Summary**
An amazing opportunity for an energetic, people-centric leader (Internal team and Client focused) that has extensive experience in senior management within the Payroll and HR consulting Space.
The focus of this role is to provide strategic direction and guidance to the team to ensure the company achieves its financial vision, mission, and long-term goals. It is further to direct and control all business operations. This role develops and drives strategies to ensure business continuity and longevity - addressing client needs to effectively grow the company. In addition, the incumbent must ensure ongoing optimization of staff performance, workflows, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Management**
- Determine and compile the annual departmental budget in collaboration with the CFO.
- Responsible for the cost-effective allocation and use of the company resources.
- Implement, control, and manage the departmental resources and procedures within approved budget guidelines.
- Compile and present budget reports regarding expenditure to keep the EXCO appropriately informed of the business unit’s budget position.
- Ensure that budgets and schedules are within company requirements with significant organisational responsibility for the overall control of planning and staffing to meet business needs.
- Set realistic business unit targets for market growth strategies, ensure the cost-effective allocation of organisational resources, and to remain within the budget parameters, for both operating and capital budgets, as set by the Digicall Group CEO.
**Strategy**
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
- Ensure that the business unit structure and processes contribute to the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives.
- Ensure the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes within the business unit are as set by the Group CEO.
- Develop, grow and nurture senior relationships with existing clients as well as prospective clients.
**Operational**
- To consider strategic opportunities around HR and Payroll consultancy and growing the company’s consultancy business and brand.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of senior employees providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Lead operational efforts through subordinates to complete the administration of business processes and services to ensure the operation’s effective achievement of goals within the assigned business unit(s).
- Ensure the business unit operation remains current within the Digicall Group as well as within the broader market.
- Derive actionable insight from business unit performance, implement and monitor action plans for improvement.
- Ensure effective implementation of operational strategies, in line with business strategy.
- Design and implement sales strategies that enable the achievement of budgeted targets, and enhance customer and client satisfaction.
- To create and support a proposition and service offering which is saleable, scale-able, and profitable.
- Identify the people, process, and technology capabilities required to deliver desired customer experiences in the market, and then plan for the implementation of those experiences.
- Analyze data to understand why customers are satisfied/dissatisfied with the product/experience to develop deep insights into customer needs and behaviors, with recommended sales process improvements.
- Ensure full client confidentiality and conduct yourself and all business dealings with the highest level of integrity and credibility.
- Achieve and exceed benchmarked sales targets by developing, presenting, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in line with company objectives.
- Continuously measure and refine the sales strategy.
**HR Management**
- Responsible for the management of the various operational department(s).
- Oversee the recruitment of resources for the department(s).
- Responsible for the development and training of direct reports.
- Responsible for the talent management and succession planning of direct reports.
- Initiate disciplinary action for departmental employees that is non-compliant with company objectives/policies and procedures.
- Ensure sound and productive employee relations, good morale, and productive work culture across departments.
- Ensure the company is compliant with all relevant statutory requirements.
- Ensure and enforce the adherence and execution of all company and group key strategic objectives.
**Requirements**:
- **Minimum**: Degree (BSc/BA/BCom) in HR, Industrial Psychology, or Business Management related fields or Honours Degree in an applicable field.
- **Preferred**: Masters’s Degree or MBA will be an advantage
