Exports: Receive international enquiries, investigate destinations, and find solutions to get the shipment to the client.
- Imports: Receive orders and make sure that all processes are followed to get stock to our warehouses
- Investigate foreign country requirements
- Liaise with various supply chain operational divisions within the company and out, (warehouse, manufacturing, planners, and transport operators).
- Must ensure and oversee the smooth dispatch of shipments from point A to point B
- Communicate with the product management teams to investigate if we are able to supply the products and import product as required
- Collaborates with various business units to ensure efficient processes taking various risks into consideration
- Quote customer timeously and once official orders come in issue out instruction to the administrators to cap the sales orders. Get quotes for Import shipments when needed.
- Must ensure and oversee the smooth dispatch/and import of shipments from point A to point B on time
- Be knowledgeable on software track, check, prioritise and route orders.
- Manage all import documents such as advanced shipping notice, bills of lading, understand letters of credit, country requirements and regulations.
- Ensure all costs are investigated and shipping arrangements are made within budget
- Effectively manage the shipping department employees
- Guide admin on regulations and documentation required
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all SHEQ policies and practices

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric / Grade 12.
- Degree/National Diploma in supply chain or logistics
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in shipping industry
- Syspro or SAP B1 experience
- In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation
- Knowledge of shipping industry regulations
- Export and import experience
