**Po Social Worker / Antenatal Support Consultant (Freelance)**

**Location**: Johannesburg, South Africa
**Type**: Freelance / Part-Time
**Rate**: (depending on experience) + fuel reimbursement

**Overview**:
This role involves short-term support work and light case coordination—ideal for a practitioner experienced in maternal health, psychosocial evaluations, or community wellness services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct **in-person or remote assessments** with selected individuals to evaluate emotional readiness, family environment, and health-related background.
- Provide **professional observations and recommendations** to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with legal, clinical, or wellness professionals where needed.
- Offer **ongoing wellness check-ins and emotional support** throughout the duration of the engagement, including limited post-outcome follow-up.
- Maintain confidentiality, clear notes, and ethical boundaries at all times.
- Be available to attend **scheduled meetings or key appointments** in the Johannesburg area.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Social Worker, Counsellor, or certified Antenatal Care Professional.
- Experience in maternal health, family systems, or community mental health preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and report findings professionally.
- Based in **Johannesburg or nearby** with a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexible availability across weekdays and some weekends (by arrangement).

**Job Type**: Temporary

Pay: R140,00 - R180,00 per hour

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- Social Worker or Antenatal Support : 3 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (preferred)
