Position Purpose:_**

To ensure that there is an accurate trial balance, balance sheet and income statement extracted at the end of the accounting

month in accordance to GAAP and SAPO financial procedures.

**_
Position outputs:_**

1. Check and capture journals for validity of costs transferred and to

code according to correct ledger account and cost center to

ensure the costs transferred are justified as per attachments in

order to post correctly to the general ledger.

2. Prepare and dispatch outgoing journals to recover costs due to

business unit.

3. Perform bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to

ensure all accounts posted have been correctly allocated and

balance to general ledger.

4. Compile monthly and year-end disclosure schedule for submission

to Transnet with regards to GAAP requirements.

5. Execute month-end VAT run and compile monthly VAT returns in

compliance with the VAT Act to be submitted to SARS.

6. Compile annual tax packs to be submitted to Transnet as per

disclosure requirements by Transnet.

7. Perform inter/intra company confirmation to ensure transfers

between group Debtors and Creditors have been accounted for

correctly.

Matric with Accounting
Diploma in Financial Accounting
1 year experience
