Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Cellars, based at Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful incumbent will report to the Winemaker.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for planning and blending of Bulk Intrinsic.
- Responsible for receiving and despatch of products and other additives.
- Responsible for Quality of the bulk intrinsic and hygiene in the cellar.
- Capturing of all production, transfer, receiving and despatch information on SAP
- Minimising losses and write-offs.
- Active co-ordination of daily operations meetings and co-ordination of daily team tasks.
- Manage housekeeping and safety and maintaining 5S standards.
- Managing and supervising cellar staff and ensuring that the set targets for our KPI’s are met.
- Tasting of Line checks and Finals at the Quality Laboratory.
- Drive savings initiatives within your department.
- Involve with internal/external and safety audits.
- Implement and maintain ISO quality and environmental management systems.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Degree in Agriculture, Viticulture and Oenology).
- At least 3 years relevant cellar working experience
- Experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
- Computer literate in MS Office Suite
- Experience in SAP will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, identify and solve problems and make relevant decisions.
- Be self-motivated and action driven.
- Be a team player and innovator.
- Sound leadership and conflict handling experience
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08)
- Knowledge of ISO procedures and instructions are advantageous.
