**The Role**

**Manage the dispatching process**:

- Ensure that the code for collections is correct to ensure delivery to the correct hub
- Log onto the system to check collection requests
- Assign collections to drivers
- Check how heavy the load is and make alternative arrangements
- Dispatch drivers for early morning collections and late collections
- Call customers to ensure satisfied with delivery
- Ensure that ICG transferred into cage
- Ensure that freight is signed off when dropping off in TS Cage
- Attend to queries from clients relating to collections
- Track drivers to ensure that they are adhering to delivery times
- Oversee the offloading of freight
- Ensure that all freight is checked for damages and accounted for
- Ensure that barcodes that contain the customers addresses are removed and attached to the collection slips
- Arrange for forklift drivers and pallets to move the freight
- Ensure that vehicle checklists are completed

**Manage the collections process**:

- Examine collections daily
- Ensure that the Zone Controllers send through a daily report
- Ensure that the Zone Controllers do not have freight older than 3 days
- Ensure that if freight is older than 3 days there is a valid reason
- If there is no valid reason for freight
- than 3 days initiate disciplinary measures against Zone Controllers
- Report missed collections to Operations Manager
- Capture reasons for non-collections

**Skills and Experience** JOB - RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**

**Minimum**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in related field
- HR Policies and procedures
- RTT Processes
- Knowledge of operational processes
- Ability to work under pressure
