Are you detail-oriented with a passion for finance? Our client is seeking a Debtors Clerk to join their finance team in central Durban. The role involves managing the debtor’s ledger, ensuring timely invoicing and collections, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding accounts, handling customer queries, and maintaining accurate financial records.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Manage and maintain the debtor’s ledger.
Process and issue customer invoices.
Follow up on outstanding payments and manage collections.
Reconcile debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and send out monthly statements to clients.
Handle customer queries regarding billing and payments.
Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
Proven experience as a Debtors Clerk or in a similar financial role.
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive client relationships.
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Ability to manage time efficiently and work under pressure.
Relevant qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous.
