**HOD for Barista & Bar Team**

We are a large chain restaurant with multiple locations around East Africa, serving delicious food and beverages to our customers. We are looking for a HOD for Barista & Bar Team to join our team and lead our baristas and bartenders in creating amazing coffee and drinks.

As the HOD for Barista & Bar Team, you will be responsible for:

- Delegating tasks and supervising the performance of the head baristas and their teams across all our locations.
- Developing new coffee and drinks specials and recipes, and ensuring quality and consistency of the products.
- Training and coaching the baristas and bartenders on the best practices and standards of coffee and drinks preparation and presentation.
- Managing the inventory and ordering of coffee beans, syrups, milk, alcohol, and other ingredients and supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Collaborating with the management and other departments to plan and execute promotions and events.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Extensive experience as a barista and/or bartender, preferably in a leadership position.
- A passion for coffee and drinks, and a creative flair for developing new and exciting recipes - Coffee Roasting & production an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A customer-oriented and professional attitude, and the ability to handle complaints and feedback.
- A high level of attention to detail and quality control.
- A certificate or diploma in hospitality, food and beverage, or related field is must
- A certificate or diploma in Barista & Coffee course
