_CORDAGE OPERATOR_

**PERMANENT VACANCY**

**The requirements are as follows**:

- Minimum qualification of Grade 12
- Vocational training would be an added an advantage
- Working knowledge and experience in braiding, twisting, hanking and winding would be an added advantage
- Ability to operate and control machinery is essential.
- Must be physically fit to meet physical demands of the position
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime when required
- Good numeric and literacy skills
- Must be punctual, self motivated and willing to learn
- Ability to read, write and speak English is essential
- Ability to follow set of procedures and routines
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to maintain enthusiasm while conducting repetitive work
- Ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and manage deadlines
**Duties and Responsibilities Includes but not Limited to**:

- Operate and monitor braiding, twisting, hanking and winding machinery
- Maintain machines according to the cleaning and maintenance schedule
- Execute production orders in compliance with order specifications and quality standards
- Prepare and conduct changeovers
- Conduct quality checks in the Cordage department
- Report faulty and damaged equipment and machines to the Leading Hand
- Constantly check on production of machine and the quality of products
