**Requirements**:

- 3 - 5 years Mechanical experience in both petrol and diesel vehicles
- A good understanding of Workshop consumables and vehicle parts
- A thorough understanding of workshop environment
- Driver’s license and own transport essential
- Own tools is essential

**Key responsibilities**:

- Services and repairs on all company Vehicles
- Standby duties/ after hours
- To do services on all Company Vehicles out of guarantee
- Top do all repairs/maintenance on Company Vehicles efficiently and promptly in conjunction with Transport Manager
- To advise Transport Manager / Technical Advisor (ordering Clerk) on all difficulties/ problems if repairs / maintenance cannot be done
- Report all major repairs required to the Transport Manager for approval
- To take all Vehicles for a “test drive” after repairs / maintenance have been done
- To do standby repairs / maintenance after hours and over weekends (designated mechanics only)
- To ensure that a list of spares and brake pads / linings used on breakdowns e handed to the Transport Admin Assistant WEEKLY (standby Mechanics)
