Mechanic

**Job description**

**(Mercedes Benz Truck, CAT, Front End Loader, Toyota and Kubota, normal fleet experience)**

We are **urgently looking for a qualified Mechanic** required to work on Mercedes Benz trucks, CAT and Front-End Loaders, Toyota and Kubota, normal fleet experience which is **not negotiable**

**NOTE: NO change takers, you shall be serious about your work, disciplining your team, have work ethics and manage your team effectively.**

Qualified: Mechanic from the transport/logistics industry (Horticulture) with Workshop experience.

8 - 10 years experience.

Job requirements:
1. Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires, warranty procedures, driveline, steering, and suspension, electrical, mobile AC and overhaul and engine rebuilds, with safety as the top priority

2. Preventative Maintenance: maintenance inspections and services, repair any DOT failures and driver-related concerns Truck Mechanic working with preventative maintenance and general and major repairs Performed preventative maintenance, major repairs, and general repairs Perform engine tune-ups and preventative maintenance for diesel engines.

3. Assisted fellow employee on road calls for company vehicles and dump trucks when they were inoperable in the field. Diagnose Problems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all Company Vehicles including cars and large delivery trucks. Performed PM (preventing maintenance) on all company vehicles to keep them safe for employees. Analyzed and implemented repairs to a commercial fleet of company vehicles and trucks.

4. Safety Devices is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices. Examined protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and made adjustments with hand tools.

5.Tractor Trailers is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Service and maintain a fleet of tractor-trailers as well as 14- and 20-ton trucks, and various trailers. Repaired and maintained fork trucks, bucket loaders, and tractor-trailers. Provided light maintenance on large oil trucks and tractor-trailers, Performed diagnostics and repairs on dump trucks & tractor-trailers.

6. Maintain Diesel truck fleet, Cat, and Mercedes diesel work, and related fleet maintenance. Completed work on specific types of diesel engines such as Caterpillar, and Kabuta.

7. Oil Changes Charged with responsibility for servicing all trucks, including oil changes, lube chassis, filter replacement, engine repairs. Oil changes, brake replacement & adjustment, overhead doors repairs, lift gate service & repairs. Work on trucks of all sizes performing oil changes filter changes greasing the whole truck and or trailer. Perform lubrication, oil changes, battery maintenance, tire changes and repairs, and servicing of equipment.

8. Wheel Bearings is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Service Tractors and Trailers, troubleshooting electrical problems, including replacing running lights, fixing or replacing tires and wheel bearings. Replaced motors to wheel bearings. Change oil filters, transmission filters, drivelines, U joints, wheel bearings, belts, hoses.

9. Electrical Systems is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Serviced air conditioning systems, diagnosed and repaired engine-cooling and electrical systems. Serviced air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling and electrical systems. Repaired trailers, installed brakes and air systems, fifth wheels, adjusted clutches, repair all lights and electrical systems. Service automotive electrical systems including wiring harness, and starting and charging systems.

10. Diagnosis is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Work includes brakes, tires, hydraulics, air systems, and electrical diagnosis. Detailed completion in writing of diagnosis and repair on company repair order. Provided Inspection, diagnosis, and repair of waste management industry vehicles. Performed anything from basic pm maintenance to diagnosis and repair.

11. Heavy Equipment is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Executed minor/major repairs and maintenance on light/heavy equipment and special-purpose vehicles. Install and maintain heavy and light trucks and other types of equipment Measured, designed, cut, welded, sandblasted, prepped, and painted tractor trucks and heavy equipment. Worked on a variety of vehicles, including heavy and medium-duty trucks and heavy equipment.

12. Trouble Shooting is used in Truck Mechanic jobs: Job title: Car and light truck repair Description of duties General auto and light truck repair also electrical troubleshooting Work included computer diagnostic, R&R transmissions, differentials, clutches, and engine and electrical troubleshooting.
