Director - Processing Products

A leading global payments company is seeking a Director of Processing Products to join their team in South Africa. Reporting to the Chief Product and Design Officer in Dubai, the role will be based on-site in their Johannesburg or Cape Town Office.
**A bit about the role**:
Your mission: - Work with regional presidents, group managing directors and their teams to develop new products and solutions for existing and prospective clients - Define strategy, design, and roadmap for new and existing core processing products for issuers and acquirers such as BNPL, Credit, Debit, Prepaid, Commercial etc., ensuring new and existing product lines can compete successfully in all competitive markets across all viable segments - Establish the company as a best-in-class product innovation, development, and marketing company in the payments industry by driving profitable transactions, and revenue through new and enhanced products and increased brand health - Increase brand ratings on key metrics in advertising and brand awareness/preference - Analysing market trends, customer feedback, and competition to inform product and go-to-market strategies - Increase the company's brand ratings on key metrics in advertising and brand awareness/preference. - Manage the commercialisation, sales enablement, and product management for cardholder benefit products - Ongoing product management, including project management, financial management, pricing, and market/competitive evaluation - Understand key financial drivers and incorporate them into business decisions - Provide strategic advice to customers and Product teams regarding the design, capabilities, and implementation of cardholder benefits A bit about you: - Bachelor's degree in business administration or an MBA - 12-15 years of financial services product management or technology, leading and developing products, services and solutions, strong product management skills (knowledge of product lifecycle, development and implementation frameworks etc.) - Understanding of specific market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and customer needs, as well as general trends in the payments world - Should be able to create and run a profitable product portfolio and generate a pipeline of innovative product developments which will power the company's growth and expansion
